I absolutely LOVE shooting "Bridals" photography! Unfortunately it's not very common here in Santa Barbara and a lot of California girls don't know about. It's a Southern Tradition!Well, lucky for me Kendall, a sweet and stylish Texas gal, moved to Santa Barbara and wanted some bridals photos taken! I jumped at the chance to do a fun session like this... and it left me wanting MORE! Of course, it's partly because Kendall is so fun, sweet, gorgeous stylish and all around amazing!But also... it's just plain fun to take pretty pictures with JUST the bride... stress free and not full of wedding day jitters. It's nice to have over an hour with just the bride and be able to play with locations, light, posing and not be on that tight wedding schedule. I could definitely get used to it! And when I think about it, brides why wouldn't you want this? A stress free session that allows for more FUN photos of you in your very expensive wedding dress! Instead of only getting to wear it once, BOOM, you get to wear it TWICE! And, if you would like, you can bring your man along and we'll get extra photos of both of y'all!Once you see these photos, I think you'll see why you NEED to get in that Southern spirit, baby, and book your bridal session STAT!

I am so excited to share these photos from Rita + Ryan's engagement session which we shot in Santa Barbara! Rita and I go way back! We went to high school together. And we kept in touch through...FACEBOOK! Duh! So Rita would follow my career and photos, like a true fan! When she got engaged to the wonderful Ryan, she contacted me immediately to see if I could photograph their 2013 wedding! Of course, I was excited and delighted! :)Rita and Ryan are so adorable together! They make each other laugh and smile so bright! And when Ryan holds Rita in his arms, she just melts. Which you will see in the photos below! These two are definitely a perfect pair, and I'm so stoked for what's to come for them! One thing that made this shoot extra fun, was that we went all around Downtown Santa Barbara-- from the Courthouse to Alice Keck Park, to Leadbetter Beach! We got to explore the beautiful town together, and Rita had just the perfect outfit and props to match each setting! Rita also wore some dazzling accessories, like a Tiffany's necklace and some hot Louboutin pumps-- both of which I learned were gifts from Ryan! SWOON! I love that Ryan adores pampering Rita! So sweet! :)

We started off at Alice Keck Park! How stunning is Rita!!??!

I love these two shots. One is diva and one is just plain ADORABLE!

We ended at the beach as the sunset! I loved Rita's flowy gown and the way her hair blew in the breeze! Fabulous!

I absolutely LOVE engagement season! Such a fun time of year spent meeting potential clients, and getting to know my newly booked 2012 clients even better through engagement photo shoots! So exciting!I also have been having a ton of fun shooting in Santa Barbara, my new home! Even though Susie + Eric are getting married in LA, they were very excited about the opportunity to do their engagement pictures in Downtown Santa Barbara. Especially because Eric is an alumni of UCSB! We started off the session at the Santa Barbara Courthouse! I had heard that it was such a beautiful location... but I really was impressed at how awesome is! The architecture is fantastic and there are so many nooks and crannies with ridiculously pretty light! LOVED it!Of course, the best part of the session was just working with Susie + Eric! These two both have such a great sense of style, and they were so excited to be all gussied up and play super-model! Total dream clients! But beyond being ridiculously stylish and good looking, these two are just so sweet and fun to be around! They were always looking out for each other, and would just get lost in each others eyes! Sighhh. So adorable to witness! You can just tell that these two are super in love! And not only are they so sweet with each other, but they also bought me a hot chocolate to warm me up from a very cold, windy session! Can't ask for better clients than that! ;)So without further ado... love at the Santa Barbara Courthouse (100 Anacapa Street  Santa Barbara, CA 93101) ...
