Abby + Tanner were married the day after New Year’s at Sunstone Villa! Now, I have photographed many weddings at the beautiful Sunstone Villa over the last four years, but this wedding was a first! I have never shot at a wedding at the Villa in January…or really any winter month! So this wedding is a little bit different than all my other Villa weddings you have seen of mine… but oh boy was it really pretty!The sky was gray and the air was chilly and crisp, but the light, ooooh the light, was incredible! The vines were bare but the remaining branches created lines and shapes that were beautiful and bare. There was a tent— smartly so— because it was windy and way too cold to dine and dance under the stars. But there was still an amazing backdrop of the Villa. The berry-red and white color palette was festive, and went along with the holidays (because on January 2nd things still should feel festive). It was without a doubt gorgeous.But the best part of the day was of course Abby and Tanner. Could there be a couple any cuter? They were high school sweethearts and they were so thrilled to be becoming man and wife. And their families were pretty adorable too. I honestly could shoot their wedding every single weekend and be stoked, because they are that awesome and the wedding was that lovely!!Thank you to Kelsey for 2nd shooting! What can I say about Tanya + James wedding other than it was simply perfect? The venue, (my favorite) Sunstone Villa is always breathtaking. The decor on this particular event was extra special though! The setting with vineyards in full bloom was beyond picturesque. But more than these things, this wedding was perfect because of the people. Tanya & James are just remarkable. Two of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever hope to meet. And there family & friends were no different! Everyone was happy, relaxed and having the time of their lives which always makes a wedding day perfect. Tanya looked like an absolute dream-- the kind of bride you see in magazines! And James totally knew it. He beamed from ear to ear every time he laid eyes upon her. Really, it was a beyond perfect day. I am SO excited to finally share Ashley + Lance's absolutely, jaw-droppingly GORGEOUS wedding which took place at The Sunstone Villa in Santa Ynez a couple weeks ago! Ashley + Lance are the cutest, sweetest couple with equally sweet family and friends to match! Their big bridal party was so fun to work with, and their parents were just lovely. Ashley's fabulous mom Rosanne designed the whole event, and wow does she have a good eye! Every detail was taken care of-- from a beautiful and unique memorial table, to an over the top bellini station at cocktail hour, to vintage furniture vignettes and crystal chandeliers hanging from the trees. All of Ashley's wedding visions were brought to life, and Rosanne made sure no detail was left untouched!The toasts were funny and heartfelt, the scenery was breathtaking (as ALWAYS at Sunstone Winery), the food (by Mama's Meatballs) was delicious, and the company was fabulous. What more could you ask for at a wedding?! And yet, what put the whole thing over the top for me was Ashley's sister Rheanne just singing her heart at to Adele's "One + Only" during the first dance, and Ashley + Lance just starry-eyed in love as they swayed on the dance floor. I don't think there are even words to explain just how EXCITED I am to share Kendra + Kevin's beautiful wedding with you which took place at Sunstone Villa (part of Sunstone Winery) in Santa Ynez! I have been in love with Sunstone as a venue ever since I did THIS editorial bridal shoot there! I mean really! It is a jaw droppingly gorgeous location that truly makes you feel as though you are in Tuscany and not California! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better my stylish bride Kendra and her fabulous planner Natalie Sofer come along and make the whole venue even more fabulous! Through the exquisite floral stylings of Toast and beautiful linens and rentals provided by La Tavola, the look of relaxed European countryside elegance was definitely achieved!Of course I could gush for hours about the pretty details and venue, but truly that is all icing on the cake! What really makes a wedding special is the bride and groom and all their friends and family! Well this wedding was no different! I have loved Kendra since we met. She is a girl after my own heart who knows exactly what she wants, and yet is so down to Earth and sweet! She is practically my wedding soul sister as on the wedding day I realized she had a Pronovias dress (just like my wedding gown was by Pronovias) and she had the exact same earrings as me on my wedding! Awesome! As soon as Kendra and Kevin saw each other they were glowing all day! Kevin kept saying how surreal it all was and Kendra was just plain giddy! Their ceremony was officiated by Kendra's dad which was super sweet and unique! It was a heartfelt touch that I really loved. Later as the party got going, we heard some uproarious toasts! Each one truly funnier than the one before it! And then the crowd got cray-cray on the dancefloor! Seriously, Kendra + friends know how to party! The party moved from the Villa to the wine caves for late night shenanigans! Yeah it was a pretty eventful, rockin' night!Huge thanks to my friend Megan Sharp and to my hubs AJ for shooting with me and keeping me hydrated! ;) Also major thanks to Natalie Sofer, Toast Santa Barbara, and the owners of Sunstone for making the day sooo spectacular!
