To me, there is pretty much NOTHING more exciting than seeing my photos published. It's always such a nice compliment and really helps me realize how far I've come since I first decided to give professional photography a try in 2008. Being published anywhere is truly a blessing and I'm so humbled by it.And as far as being published goes... perhaps one of the most exciting things is to see my work in a print magazine! There's something very surreal about picking up a magazine, flipping through the semi-gloss pages and landing on a photo I've taken. Even crazier is to know brides are out there buying this magazine and looking at my work! I was very fortunate to have felt the thrill of being published in print 3 times during 2011. And 2012? Well what a start we're off to! I just received in the mail my copy of Seacoast Weddings Magazine 2012 issue. In it they featured one of my photos on an entire page! And what's also cool is that they featured my headshot on the "Contributing Photographers" credits page! Holy moly! Almost too exciting for words! Check it out! My photo is of the stunning bouquet (designed by Honey + Poppies) on the right-hand page.A closer look at the page...The credit in detail...A look at the Contributing Photographers page! My headshot is number #4  (top row)!...and a close up of the credit on the "contributing photographers" page.Rad! Thanks so much to Seacoast Weddings for the fabulous feature! And any fans in New England should definitely go buy a copy! It's a great magazine with tons of inspiration!

Love seeing my name in print as well!

Featured in The Bride and Bloom Magazine

I am so excited to share some REALLY big news! Like, tears of joy big!!!Back in April, I was asked by Alexandra of Sterling Engagements to photograph a shoot she was putting together for The Bride + Bloom Southern California Magazine! I was so giddy and honored to be asked. Me? Shoot photos for a magazine? WHAT THE WHAT?!!! But of course I said yes! The theme of our shoot was tablescapes inspired by fashion designer Alexander McQueen! LOVE IT! Event Designer Shawna Yamamoto did a STUNNING job creating two amazing table designs that will blow your mind. It was very fun to capture all her glam details!Fast forward about 6 months... I had been soooo busy with wedding season I practically forgot all about the shoot. But then I was alerted the issue was on newsstands!! To my joy, the shoot is featured in a 2 page spread  in the magazine and even has a big old photo credit! Pretty cool! I never ever imagined in my life that I would one day go to Barnes and Noble to buy copies of a magazine that featured 2 pages of my photos. The feeling is amazing. But I really have to thank Alex and Shawna for inviting me along and for putting together an amazing design! These two ladies are talented!!Soooo...anywho...if you get the chance pick up the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Bride + Bloom Southern California (currently on newsstands) and flip to pages 72-73! You seriously won't want to miss the eye candy ;)Here's a peak...

{Featured in Hostess With The Mostess} Retro Baby Shower by Just Chic Events

Paola of Just Chic Events planned my wedding. For a whole year I emailed with her almost daily with questions and ideas. Through it all, she happily guided me through the world of weddings. She was basically my fairy-wedding-godmother and I just adore her. So early this year when I found out Paola was having a baby girl, I was thrilled!!! And when Jessi, a fellow planner on the Just Chic Events team, asked me to photograph Paola's baby shower I was delighted! The whole day was beautiful and I was so excited to be a part of it. It meant a lot to me to document Paola's precious memories, because by planning my wedding to perfection, she created so many wonderful memories for me!Jessi of Just Chic Events planned and designed the shower! It was lovely! One of my favorite florists ever, Kate Baker, did all the florals and they were loverly for sure! Also, My Sweet and Saucy made the cute dessert bar which was as beautiful as it was delicious. The retro theme was so cute and clever, but also very classic and elegant.I couldn't be more happy to see this event featured on Hostess With The Mostess! Go check it out on HWTM:And.... Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day:Paola + her hubby Eric posed for some shots in the new nursery! How cute is that room??The tables were so pretty! Loved Kate Baker's floral clusters!YUM! Dessert bar by My Sweet and Saucy!! What could be better??Treats!!!Deeeeeelicious.I'll end with this touching photo of Paola with her mom!! So sweet!!!

I am so so excited to share that Lauren + Drew's Santa Monica wedding was featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty today! I am so excited about this feature for so many reasons. I am glad SMP recognized the specialness of this wedding and also think it can inspire engaged couples! On a more personal note, it has been a goal of mine since the inception of my business to see my work featured on the main page of Style Me Pretty. I absolutely adore SMP-- to me it is the holy grail of wedding blogs. I even relied heavily on the site when I was planning my own wedding, which is why I have always wanted to be featured on the site! This year, I had work featured both on SMP's facebook page and on SMP California, which was huge! But this is the first time seeing my work on the SMP's front page and it is a dream come true! I will be doing happy dances all day for sure.Go check out all the lovely details from Lauren + Drew's wedding on Style Me Pretty and please leave a comment on the post:

Joshua Tree National Park Love Shoot | Jackie + Tony

I am so thrilled to finally be able to share this amazing desert and hippie inspired love shoot with you, which was featured on Style Me Pretty last week! This whole thing came about when I met Jackie. I met her at a bridal show when she stopped at my booth and I instantly LOVED her. She had the cutest personality and sense of style. Apparently the feeling was mutual and soon we were meeting over coffee and talking weddings and photography. Jackie told me how she is getting married in her hometown of Chicago this fall and (bummer) had already hired a local photographer to shoot it. Though she is crazy excited for her Chicago wedding, she was an avid Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, and Once Wed reader and had just been dreaming and swooning over the idea of a California wedding. She even had some dream vendors lined up for it, like florals by Honey and Poppies. She knew two full blown weddings weren't in the budget...but perhaps a styled Mr. & Mrs love shoot could work!Jackie and her charming fiance Tony are uber hip and stylish. They look like modern hippies and ooze that relaxed cool vibe. I helped them translate that vibe into a lovely Hippie inspired shoot out in the desert...Joshua Tree to be exact! And since it was to be a mini, California dream wedding, we HAD to have Jackie's dream florist make the arrangements. As usual, Megan of Honey and Poppies knocked it out of the park and created some swoon worth florals! My love, Amber, of Pitbulls and Posies created some amazing stationery for the shoot! Hope Stanley chose the perfect look for Jackie to wear. And Jackie's headband was made by the always breath-taking Lo Boheme!! The talented Susie Chhuor Studio completed Jackie's look with amazing hair & make up (though the desert wind sure did seem determine to mess up Jackie's hair all day!). Lastly, I asked my friend Candice to come along and help me style the shoot! All in all it was a dream team, and Jackie's reaction to the final set up was one of pure joy! She told me it was all she wanted and more and that she was so happy to be getting her dream California wedding! Hooray!!!!I'm so excited to share these photos with y'all! They are some of my faves to date! Hugeeee thank you to all the amazing vendors who worked on this shoot!Floral Design: Honey and Poppies - http://honeyandpoppies.com/Stationery: Pitbulls & Posies - http://pitbullsandposies.com/Wardrobe Styling: Hope Stanley - http://hsbridalstylist.blogspot.com/Dress: Mary Me Bridal - http://marymebridal.com/Hair Adornments: Lo Boheme  - www.loboheme.com Hair + Make-up: Susie Chhuor Studio -  http://www.susiechhuor.com/Set Styling: Candice Benjamin - http://candicebenjamin.com/The sweetheart table was TO DIE FOR!!!!!

The stationery Amber made had the CUTEST motifs! Feathers & cactus! LOVE!

I loved the brass containers Megan used to show off the different blooms and succulents! So lovely! Brides hoping to create a similar look should ask their florist if they can provide such containers and/or start going to flea markets and thrift stores throughout wedding planning to collect the goodies!

These details?? SWOON!!!! I LOVE that Tony wore a light colored suit! And I loved Jackie's look of layered necklaces and bangle bracelets! While traditional diamonds and pearls make lovely wedding day accessories, I think it's really fun to see colored stones (turquoise!!) and a funkier approach to jewelry!

Jackie, you are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

There are literally a MILLION reasons why I love Megan's floral arrangements. Reason #18976? She wrapped this bouquet with crepe paper streamers!!

Ahhhh! Jackie & Tony you are too cute for words!!!!!!! I'm literally SPEECHLESS!

ADORE!

These two are so flirty cute together! LOVES it!

We DIY'd ribbon wands for this shoot! (Which takes like two seconds and basically involves tying ribbon to a stick just fyi). They really made for some FUN photos!

Puttin' that desert wind to good use!

In addition to a sweetheart table, we created this little lounge area so the two could just relax and enjoy each other. This is Jackie + Tony being themselves! Laughing and just living in the moment!

Adorable right?!!!

FEATURED on Style Me Pretty!

Yayyyyyy! What an amazing year this has been! I have seen my work published in print, internationally, on Green Wedding Shoes, The Wedding Chicks...and now? Published | Marry Me Magazine Russia

I am seriously in awe of all the publications that have picked up the Lady Gaga Wedding Inspiration shoot I photographed since it's initial debut on The Wedding Chicks! This thing went viral big time, beyond my wildest dreams. It's latest incarnation... the shoot was published in Marry Me Magazine, a new Russian bridal magazine. Yes, I said RUSSIAN! For real, brides in Russia are perusing my work for wedding inspiration??? What the what?? It's crazy. It's random. And I love it. I kinda feel like I'm on "The Edge of Glory" LOL!The editor of Marry Me Magazine sent me a pdf of the feature. Amazing!

So cool! So crazy! Thanks to Marry Me Russia for the incredible feature.... and hey, if any Russian brides out there wanna fly me over to shoot your wedding? Well I'd be down ;)

I was super excited to discover that last week Christine + Tyler's wedding was featured on Recycled Bride's blog! Recycled Bride is a very cool site where you can buy lightly used items for your wedding-- from dresses to rings to decor! The idea is that you save money by buying a past bride's wedding goods, and save the environment by recylcing and reusing other people's items! Rad right? If you haven't checked out the site you definitely should!!And also be sure to check out Christine + Tyler's wedding feature on the Recycled Bride blog:

Featured on The Sweetest Occasion | Insipred Creations Contest

I remember when Elizabeth Anne Designs and The Sweetest Occasion teamed up to announce last years Inspired Creations contest... a contest where teams of wedding professionals would create concepts for a fab DIY aspect of a wedding, execute this concept and of course show it off to inspire brides. The ideas last year were so creative and I wanted so badly to have the courage to ask someone to collaborate me... but I was shy and scared.SOOOOO very much has changed for me since that time last year. I've come out of shy shell and really developed so many friendships in this industry. I have worked on many wonderful inspiration shoots and have developed good relationships with many of the industry's talented and uber creative wedding professionals. To me these florists, coordinators, stylists, stationers, bakers, and beauty stylists aren't wedding vendors... they are WEDDING ARTISTES. And I feel so super blessed each time I get to collaborate with them!I was so thrilled when event designer Tami of Fabulously Wed asked me to photograph her concept for this year's Inspired Creations contest. Tami had an idea for a Japan-inspired wedding and wanted to create the perfect sweets table for it. She used an unexpected color palette of pink, purple and gold. My favorite detail though was the hanging gold paper cranes as a backdrop! This small sweets table was very budget friendly but uber cute and I'm glad I got to photograph it's loveliness!Go check out all the details featured today on The Sweetest Occasion:

And here are a few of my fave details.... The paper cranes and the beautiful fabric Tami found to cover the table with.

Beautiful purple Iris and sweet take out containers to pack your treats in!

And an overall shot of how it came together....
