Married | CC + Davey

I am so excited to share CC + Davey's wedding which took place last Saturday at Calamigos Equestrian Center! CC is one very special bride to me because, as I may have previously mentioned, we went to elementary school together and were in the same Girl Scout troop. We reconnected a few years ago via my blog and she has been such a big supporter of my work! For awhile now, she kept saying I would photograph her wedding one day! And well... it finally happened! I did photograph her wedding and now it is her turn to shine on the blog! Hooray! :)There were a lot of very special and sweet moments in CC's wedding. First it was fun to see friends and parents of friends from my childhood again! Then of course there were all CC's amazing friends from all different eras of her life who worked so diligently to make sure she had the perfect day-- from wrapping bouquets with ribbons to coordinating her day to doing her make up-- it was so neat seeing all the out pouring of love by friends who just wanted to let CC, who does so much for others, have a relaxing and extra special day! The ceremony was completely touching. The lawn games were super cute and fun! The grand entrance bursting through a banner was epic. The toasts were hilarious and super duper sweet. The cake was AMAZING because it was actually a plain white cake with icing bags and CC + Davey asked guests to please decorate it for them. The result was hilarious and adorable-- everything from a cat, to their wedding date to hearts and flowers and squiggly lines were drawn on it by the end. But probably the best moment was when Davey surprised CC by serenading her Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up" and then.... having a bunch of friends chime in with an a cappella chorus as a beautiful and completely awesomely unexpected surprise. A wedding full of this much love is the best kind of wedding. And working with people this sweet, this happy and this in the moment is the most rewarding! I loved every moment!
