What can I say about Laurie, other than that she is fabulous? This boudoir session was my second time working with Laurie, and I was so excited because she is so sweet, caring, and gorgeous-- she is truly beautiful inside & out. Laurie was a bit nervous and shy when the session started but I cracked her shell-- or maybe the glass of wine cracked her shell, I'm not sure! By the end of the session Laurie was a pro at sexy modeling, and even taught me a few things ;)Thanks Laurie for being so beautiful and inspiring yet again! I hope these photos knock Brian's socks off!!

I love the way we used a feather boa here. It's very burlesque, which I adore!!

Roxana was the second lovely lady I photographed as part of my marathon boudoir session! She absolutely knocked my socks off! She embraced the shoot with such confidence, and enthusiasm and had tons of poses already in her repertoire (she said she prepared by watching lots of Top Model). I was thoroughly impressed with Roxana's moves-- this girl knows sexy! I'm sure you will agree after you see these pictures!

Nancy and Mike are such a sweet couple!! They were such a joy to shoot with and they have such a deep love for each other! Just look at the way they look at each other, the passion in their kisses, the way their eyes smile! It's absolutely beautiful! It makes me feel so lucky to be able to work with such genuine, happy,  in-love couples!We did our shoot in the heart of Beverly Hills, which turned out to be more challenging than I originally thought! There's a lot of foot traffic and passers-by. Also, there are scary security guards who tell you not to shoot near certain stores and actually stalk you for a block to make sure you don't come back. Seriously, I felt like the CIA was after us! ;) Still, we did our best to avoid crowds and designer-store-mafiosos, and I think we succeeded beautifully. Take that 90210!

Yasmin was the first bride I photographed as part of my marathon boudoir session at the W Hotel.  Working with her was the perfect way to start the day-- she's just so sweet and lovely! I love the way she rocked the hair and make up. She reminds me of European screen sirens Sophia Loren and Brigitte Bardot. Even more amazing to me, is not only is Yasmin a total beauty, she also has major brains! She's a software engineer! Impressive right?! After looking at these photos, I think she might have a second career as a model in her future.So without further ado...

This Saturday I did a Marathon Boudoir shoot at the beautiful W Hotel in Westwood! The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! But even more beautiful were the 3 beautiful ladies I got to photograph! I had such a wonderful experience and am so pleased with the results!Here are a few teasers! Stay tuned for more in depth posts of each girl's session!

I shot Erika and Thomas' engagement session last Sunday-- amidst the heat wave-- in Venice beach. When we picked Venice as the location we figured it'd be pretty low key, since its January. Not so! It was so crowded it took us a half hour to find parking! Yikes! But we made it, found a place for our cars and got to business. We were able to find some secluded spots, away from the crowd,  and get some pretty pictures. Then just before Sunset we headed to the beach for some pretty orange sky shots!Erika and Thomas are such a cute couple! And they have the most amazing engagement story ever!  It's a bit complicated but basically -- Thomas told Erika they were going to be on a TV show, and had his friends/co-workers play along. For the "TV shoot" he and Erika went on a hot air balloon and the cameras filmed them. That's when he surprised her by popping the question! Of course she said yes, and even better they have the whole thing on video! How completely romantic is that?Erika and Thomas, I hope these pictures become another treasured memory of your engagement!

It's hard to believe but Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Mandi wanted to give her man a very special gift this year-- sexy boudoir pictures! The beach has always played a big role in their relationship so she thought it would be the perfect backdrop for the pictures. We were lucky to shoot on such a gorgeous day. We are really blessed in LA to have such nice weather in the dead of winter! Anyways, the gorgeous day + the gorgeous beach + the gorgeous Mandi=  awesome photos! I had the pleasure of shooting Jennie & Howard's engagement session yesterday at UCLA. Howard went to UCLA, and now works there, so the location had significance to them. Also, Howard knew his way around and showed me so many beautiful spots! I didn't realize UCLA was so gorgeous-- there were so many more interesting spots I didn't even explore!Jennie & Howard were amazing to work with-- so warm, caring and really genuine with me and with each other. I can tell these two are a perfect pair, and are sure to have a very happy future together! They are planning their wedding for this fall, which is perfect because we got some amazing shots of fall leaves & colors. Funny how it's January, but in LA the trees are still all yellow and red!Anyways, on with the pictures! Jennie & Howard, I hope you love these! I really had a great time working with you yesterday!

Bernadette & Robbie were the second couple I photographed in Manhattan Beach on 12-21-08. These two just got engaged a month ago so they were giddy with excitement! They were awesome models and could go from goofy to fierce in 2.5 seconds! Between their fabulous posing skills, pure joy, and the excellent lighting, I was able to get some incredible pictures. Sooo many in fact I am having a difficult time narrowing the photos down. Poor me! ;)So, I decided to give these guys two blog posts! Here is part one. The urban shots!

I had the pleasure of shooting Laurie and Brian's engagement photos on 12-21-08 in gorgeous Manhattan Beach! It was a sunny, breezy morning but luckily it wasn't too cold! Laurie and Brian were so easy going and up for anything, including getting wet sand all over their jeans! They just had an awesome, "embrace-life" attitude which I love! They also had such a love for each other-- every time they glanced at each other it was magic! It was so lovely to work with such a happy couple. Laurie & Brian, I hope you enjoy these. I know I had a fabulous time taking them!

Right before the holidays I had the pleasure of shooting two different couples' engagement sessions in beautiful Manhattan Beach! Because of Christmas, I haven't had much time to edit the photos. But I did want to post some teasers! Consider it a belated stocking stuffer!The day started with Laurie & Brian! They were up for anything and so much fun! You could just feel the love between them...And I ended the day with Bernadette & Robbie. Newly engaged, these two were absolutely giddy in love! They are also totally hilarious and too much fun to photograph.I had an awesome time shooting with both these couples and cannot wait to blog more from their sessions when I get back to LA and settle into post-holiday life! I shot Mandi & Dan's couples session in beautiful Downtown Culver City! Mandi & Dan are good friends of mine and they've been dating over 5 1/2 years! They were a pleasure to shoot! They are passionately in love-- you can literally feel the chemistry between them! They definitely have a great thing going on and I am so glad I got to help preserve some lovely memories for them!Mandi & Dan, thanks so much for being such amazing friends! While planning my own wedding, I realized that wedding & family photography is pretty much a perfect fit for me because I get to use my camera to tell the stories of people in love. Being able to capture one of most important moments in someone's life-- being able to capture their love story-- is incredible and an honor.
